The mission of the communications committee is to position AIGA/LA as the authoritative design resource to members, local designers, those working in design-related industries, local government, media and the general public by telling compelling stories about events and initiatives that advance the design industry, are relevant to our community and promote social change.
Committee VP, Editor | | Ramp Creative Rachel Elnar is a partner and founder of Ramp Creative in downtown Los Angeles. She leads design initiatives in Web site, broadcast, business development and marketing programs. She has lectured at multiple conferences and served as faculty teaching motion and interactive design at Cal Poly Pomona University and Art Center College of Design. Now she enjoys focusing her efforts on the creative needs of Ramp clients, volunteering her time to personal passions and walking her two block commute from home to office through the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
Committee VP, Webmaster | | Analog Pixel, Inc.
Brad Benjamin is President of Analog Pixel, Inc., a design firm based in Long Beach, California that specializes in the design and development of interactive media. Brad is a former Interactive Designer at TBWA\Chiat\Day and TEQUILA\ in Los Angeles, and a former Art Director at Guidance in Los Angeles and New York. With a career that includes more than a decade of experience in various areas of the interactive design industry, he has worked with clients that include Hewlett-Packard, Sony Playstation, Turner Broadcasting System, Nissan, Infiniti, and Toyota. His work has been featured in numerous periodicals and design texts, including the New York Art Director’s Club Annual, Dynamic Graphics, and HOW. Brad earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from California State University, Long Beach. He currently resides in Long Beach with his pit bull, Madison.

Design Director | Michael Stinson | Ramp Creative Michael Stinson is a partner and founder of Ramp Creative in downtown Los Angeles. His creative direction role allows him to help craft client communications through the design of campaigns in brands, identity, annual reports and more. Over the last 14 years, Michael has been recognized by the most prestigious of design institutions including American Corporate Identity, Communication Arts Design Annual, Mead Annual Report Show, Potlatch Annual Report Show, The AR100 and The One Show.
PR Chair | | PRLove Kim Flum has been working in strategic marketing and communications since 2000. Her specialties are integrated brand communications and direct response/direct marketing. She also has a serious passion for PR, and has been a public relations/publicity director since 2004. She has held senior marketing positions at DIRECTV, Inc., Daily Breeze/Los Angeles News Group and California Baby, as well as a whole lot of consulting. Kim has a degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She has also studied entrepreneurship and small business consulting, participating in programs to create (pro bono) strategic business, marketing and integrated communications plans for start-ups and small businesses. She is a serial entreprenuer, starting a new business every six months or so. Her latest venture is a boutique PR firm called prlove.
Archivist | Andrea Tinchinda | Gas Creative Group Andrea Tinchinda is the Marketing Coordinator of Gas Creative Group at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She leads a team of talented student and professional staff in creating one of a kind marketing campaigns and providing the campus and local community with the opportunity to utilize their experience-driven, design and marketing communications services. Andrea is a Cal Poly Graphic Design Alumna and currently resides in Pasadena.
